Each of our 69 bedrooms most of which are ensuite is furnished to a high standard offering residents the chance to enjoy comfort and tranquillity. Our home has a busy activities timetable, built around the key goals of mental stimulation, increased mobility and social engagement. Activities include arts and crafts sessions, gardening, exercise classes, cinema nights, quizzes, musical performances, and pamper sessions. There will be a great variety of activities to try, with new activities added frequently.

Blossom lodge is proud to be part of the Dementia Friends campaign and other charities to support research on what practices best support people living with dementia to positively influence policy and practice for dementia care in care homes across the UK.
Nursing care
Nursing care is designed for people who have more complex needs and require higher levels of care than they would receive from residential care. Nursing care is best suited to people who have a long-term health condition that requires ongoing monitoring and support in the long term. This service is delivered by qualified and professionally trained and qualified registered nurses around the clock.
At Blossom Lodge, we deliver a variety of nursing care needs such as profile beds and hoists to support residents to be comfortable, whilst maintaining as much independence as possible. We provide general nursing, complex nursing, and dementia nursing for under and over 65 years.
Nursing residents will receive a high level of care from registered nurses and care assistants meeting their specific needs and health requirements.
Our teams pride themselves on delivering care with compassion and treating every resident with the utmost dignity and respect.
Residential care
Residential care provides accommodation, meals, leisure activities, personal care and emotional support for those who are unable to manage at home. We recognise that each resident is unique. Everyone who comes to stay with us has a care plan developed which is specifically tailored to suit their needs.
At Blossom Lodge we provide live-in accommodation, meals and provide help with essential every-day personal care, such as moving around, washing, dressing, going to the bathroom, and taking medication. Each room provides a ‘home from home’ environment, which allows the individual to personalise their own space with their own personal belongings.
We also provide home cooked food with a choice of varied food and social and leisure activities. We also organise activities and events with people from the local community, which means our residents can remain an important part of the world outside of their home.
We give the choice to our residents to spend their time how they choose, whether taking part in activities such as crafts, bingo or, simply relaxing in the garden or being pampered in the hair salon. Our devoted staff support our residents to enjoy engaging activities and experiences, which are truly meaningful to them.
We work closely with other healthcare professionals, and we can care for residents who have underlying health conditions. District nurses regularly visit and provide services such as administration of insulin, dressing and change dressings and wound care, so our residents can often remain in the comfort of home when they need a little extra support. Our trained staff along with person centred care plans provide 24-hour care for those require residential care.
